How to Write and Publish Your Next Book

Writing and publishing your first or next book may not be as difficult and time consuming as you think. In fact, if you're truly motivated you could have a book done within 30 to 90 days. The good thing is you may work on this book as you're working on your other books. The main thing to remember is you must desire to really get it done. Set a completion date and stick to it. You can do this!

One of the simplest ways to create a new book that's most beneficial to you, your readers and other people is to compile a list of short essays and/or articles on a particular subject or area of interest.

Ask other people to contribute to the book by submitting their short essay or article. Give them credit and include their contact information after their essay or article. For instance, you may include their website, email and/or phone number with their permission of course.

You want to ensure you sign an agreement with them giving you authorization (permission) to publish their essay/article, name, likeness and possible image/photograph. You may seek exclusivity, but if you're not paying them you may seek some hybrid of this exclusivity clause.

You'll also want to include some of your own short articles and/or essays on the particular subject or area of interest. Having written your own short essays or articles in the books gives you additional credibility and makes it easier for you to do speaking engagements, where you may sell your book. As you become an in demand speaker you may position yourself to get paid to speak as well and this is just the tip of the iceberg of the various ways to generate revenue.
